Alabama are getting ready to hit the stage for their first headlining concert in seven years with the award-winning group playing a benefit show to aid those who continue to deal with the aftermath of April's deadly tornadoes.

"After you visit with the tornado victims, you see it's a slow recovery process," the group's Teddy Gentry tells Country Aircheck. "These families need help for years, not weeks. For me, our Tuscaloosa show is just a continuation of helping them."

The September 2 concert at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater will also feature singer-songwriter Jon Pardi, as well as the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra. "I feel very humbled to be part of a show to hopefully bring about happiness to an area that has lost so much," Alabama frontman Randy Owen adds (quote via Tuscaloosa News). "My prayers are that the show will be uplifting and help us all love and care more for one another."

The members of Alabama previously organized the star-studded benefit concert, 'Bama Rising,' which included performances by Sheryl Crow, Martina McBride, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley, and raised in excess of $2 million.

The multi-platinum-selling group have hinted that fans may be seeing more of them in 2012. "We're talking about doing maybe 20 shows next year," founding member Jeff Cook reveals. "I never felt it was right that a band called Alabama should end their career in Bismarck," he notes. "It should have ended in Birmingham or Huntsville."

For now, the best place to find Alabama on stage is to head to Tuscaloosa for their charity event. Tickets begin at $21 and can be found here.
