After being postponed last year, the American Country Countdown Awards are back for a second run.

As a refresher, the American Country Countdown Awards (the ACC Awards or the ACCAs for short) began in 2014; they took the place of the American Country Awards, which had been held yearly since 2010. The awards show honors country music's biggest stars, based on album sales and radio airplay, and is based on country music’s longest-running radio countdown show, American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks (American Country Countdown has been on air for 43 years; Brooks took over hosting duties in 2006).

Below, The Boot explains the who, what, where and when of the 2016 ACC Awards. Plenty of big country names will be there, and we've got you covered so that you don't miss a thing!

When Are the 2016 ACC Awards?

The 2016 ACCAs will air live on Fox on May 1, from 8PM ET until 10PM ET. The show will take place at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and will be the first country music awards show to air live from Los Angeles in more than 10 years.

Who's Hosting the 2016 ACC Awards?

That's unclear. Show organizers have not yet revealed a host, so it's possible that the ceremony may not have an official emcee. In 2014, Florida Georgia Line hosted the inaugural ACCAs.

Who's Nominated at the 2016 ACC Awards?

The list of nominees (the ACCAs call them "finalists") for this year's American Country Countdown Awards is led by country guys Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt. Bryan is nominated in an impressive seven categories — including Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year -- while Hunt received nods in five categories, including Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Who's Going to Win at the 2016 ACC Awards?

We already know that Brooks & Dunn will recieve the Nash Icon Award, an honor “given to an artist whose extraordinary talent has influenced generations of musicians and honors the accomplishments and artistry of the recipient.” Together, Brooks and Ronnie Dunn have sold more than 30 million albums and earned 23 No. 1 hits since their debut in 1991. They are the best-selling duo in country music history and the most-awarded act in the history of the ACM Awards (27 ACM trophies total), and they have also received two Grammys and 20 CMA Awards.

“Brooks & Dunn have indelibly etched their legacy as the biggest-selling duo in country music history,” ACC Awards executive producer Mark Bracco says in a press release. “Their outstanding career achievements have influenced legions of artists and fans alike, and we’re proud to recognize their tremendous success and ongoing musical impact with this well-deserved award.”

Winners of the ACCAs' other trophies will be determined based on radio airplay charts, sales numbers and streaming data during the time period of April 1, 2015-March 28, 2016, as provided by BuzzAngle Music. Touring Artist of the Year is determined based on tour data, as provided by Pollstar.

During the ceremony, The Boot will update this running winners list as winners are announced.

Who's Performing at 2016 ACC Awards?

Here's the full list, as well as additional information on what each artist will be performing, if available:

Cam and McBride were announced as performers prior to the news of their collaboration with Nettles, though it is not clear if the two will be performing individually as well.

Who’s Presenting at the 2016 ACC Awards?

Reba McEntire will help honor good friends Brooks & Dunn during their Nash Icon Award presentation (McEntire received the Nash Icon Award during the 2014 American Country Countdown Awards; in fact, Brooks presented her with the honor), and actor Matthew McConaughey will introduce Keith and the Strangers' tribute to Haggard.

Additionally, Paula Abdul, Chase Bryant, Terry Crews, Cat Deeley, Sara Evans, Trent Harmon, Kramer, Chris Lane, Maddie & TaeScotty McCreery, Nettles, Michael Ray, Canaan Smith, Luke Wilson and Dwight Yoakam are all lined up as presenters.

Who Will Be Attending the 2016 ACC Awards?

All of those performing and presenting will, of course, be in attendance. Organizers of the ACCAs have also announced that Haggard’s widow Theresa, as well as additional family members — including son Ben, who plays with the Strangers — will be there.
