The 2015 Americana Music Awards nominees have been announced.

Lucinda Williams, Shakey Graves and Sturgill Simpson lead the pack of nominees, with three nods each. All three artists are nominated for Album of the Year (for Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone, And the War Came and Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, respectively) and Song of the Year (for "East Side of Town," "Dearly Departed" and "Turtles All the Way Down," respectively).

Williams and Simpson are also nominated for Artist of the Year, a category they share with Rhiannon Giddens, Jason Isbell and Lee Ann Womack. Shakey Graves' third nomination is for Emerging Artist of the Year, along with First Aid Kit, Houndmouth, Nikki Lane and Doug Seegers. Womack is also nominated for Album of the Year, for The Way I'm Livin', along with Giddens, for Tomorrow Is My Turn.

Isbell was the big winner at last year's ceremony, taking home three trophies, for Artist, Album and Song of the Year. Simpson won for Emerging Artist of the Year.

The 2015 nominees were announced by John Hiatt, Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn at a press conference earlier this week, along with a performance by Milk Carton Kids.

The 2015 Americana Music Awards will be held on Sept.16, at the Ryman Auditorium, during AmericanaFest 2015. Womack and many more are scheduled to perform during the festival.
