Even though Taylor Swift had to address "serious allegations" that she "kidnapped" 18-year old boyfriend Conor Kennedy, the rumors swirling around the couple haven't affected the Kennedy's love for the "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer.

In a new interview with WENN, Conor's grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, said how excited she was that Taylor purchased a new home across the street from the family's compound in Cape Cod, Mass. "I'm happy that we'll be neighbors," Ethel shared. "I'm thrilled."

The house is a 13-room home that overlooks the Nantucket Sound. Taylor was said to have paid $4.9 million for the property.

Ethel had nothing but nice things to say about her new neighbor, even adding how Taylor fit right in with the family from the start. "She is just spectacular," Ethel said. "She is just sensational ... she's very kind. You know what she really is? She's game. She had never sailed before, she sailed. She had never gone dragging before, she dragged...she played everything that everyone else was doing [with] no fuss."

As for how easy it was for her family to fall in love with the singer, Ethel said: "How could you not? I think the world has."

Besides getting the seal of approval from her beau's grandmother, Taylor is currently promoting her new CD, Red, which hits Oct. 22.
