Brothers of the Sun Tour Ticket Sales Top One Million

Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw have proved they're a winning combination. The country superstars have hit the one million ticket mark on their Brothers of the Sun tour. The news comes just weeks after the trek was named the highest-grossing tour of 2012 by Pollstar, raking in more than twice the amount of Roger Waters and Coldplay.

"I'm so grateful to all of the fans that have made this tour such an amazing success and a nonstop party night after night," Kenny says. "Being out on the road with Tim has been incredible and we still have a lot of songs left to sing this summer."

One of the thrills that Kenny's 'brother' gets from their time on the road is playing new songs for attendees. "We're doing two new [songs] in the show, 'Mexicoma' and 'Truck Yeah,'" Tim tells The Boot. "They're going over great. For any artist, the most fun you have in a night sometimes is playing new stuff, especially new stuff that already sounds like a hit. And these two songs, when we play them the reaction is like they've been out ten years already. They're a lot of fun."

The Brothers of the Sun tour brings Kenny up to nine consecutive tours that have sold more than a million tickets. The Tennessee native got additional good news this week, when his single, "Come Over" was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales exceeding 500,000 units.
