Martina McBride knows talent when she sees it. The songstress has recently signed on to be part of the Artist Development Team for "Opening Act," which gives aspiring singers the opportunity to open for some of today's biggest stars, including Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Jason Mraz, Nicki Minaj and Rod Stewart.

The Artist Development Team, which also includes Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz, Jason Derulo, "Rock Mafia" producer Antonino Artmato and vocal coach Nick Cooper, will scour the internet for talent. They'll then help prepare the chosen up-and-coming artists for their dream job of opening for an established act. As part of her role, Martina will not only share vocal and performance tips, but also coach the singers on how to deal with the challenges that inevitably come with pursuing a music career.

The "Marry Me" singer certainly has plenty of advice to share, since she served as an opening act for several big artists, including Garth Brooks and Brooks & Dunn, before spending the last 12 years headlining her own tours. While she certainly knows how to capture the attention of thousands of fans at once, the mother of three is taking a different approach this year by purposefully playing in smaller, more intimate venues.

"I'd gotten to the point where I was keeping people on their feet all night, and that wasn't really what it was all about for me anymore," she tells The Boot. "I wanted to be able to play more ballads. I want people to listen and not worry about partying all night. The whole idea behind this show is a little bit slower paced. We're going to do some fun covers, new songs, album cuts and, obviously, hits."

"Opening Act" will premiere on July 9 at 10:00 PM ET on E!
