With all of her many titles -- singer, songwriter, author, radio host, sought-after speaker -- we sometimes forget Naomi Judd is also an actress! The Judds matriarch is adding to her acting resume what sounds like could be her biggest TV gig yet: a co-starring role in "The Nearlyweds," a movie set to air on the Hallmark channel next year.

The flick is based on a novel by the same name, written by Beth Kendrick. Cited as a romantic comedy, the film, which began shooting in Vancouver earlier this month, follows three couples who found out the minister who married them died before he signed the marriage certificate, leaving them to decide if they want to legally wed or end their relationship.

The mother of fellow country star Wynonna and actress Ashley Judd has been making great strides since her 1991 diagnosis of Hepatitis C. While the liver disease forced the Judds to disband twenty years ago, the mother-daughter duo made a surprising comeback last year, when they hit the road together for their Last Encore tour.

This will not be Naomi's first appearance on the Hallmark channel. The 66-year-old previously spent two years as host of her own talks show, "Naomi's New Morning," which ended in 2007.

"Nearlyweds," which also stars Danielle Panabaker, will premiere on January 12, 2013.
