Garth Brooks may be limiting his performances to his monthly appearances in Las Vegas, but he still has international appeal. The Oklahoma native, who recently announced he would make a rare appearance at the Calgary Stampede on July 12 to mark the 100th anniversary of the music festival, sold out tickets for the Canadian show in a record-breaking 58 seconds.

"We're happy it sold out but we knew it was going to be hugely popular," Calgary Stampede publicity manager Jennifer Booth told the Calgary Herald. "This is one of the biggest shows we've ever had."

The fact that 15,322 tickets were sold in under a minute may have elated both festival officials and the "Friends in Low Places" singer, but it also angered fans who were unable to secure tickets to the show and were left questioning how resale sites had tickets for the show available so quickly.

"It just seems kind of corrupt," a disappointed fan shared. "How could they have that many tickets for sale at, like, 10:01 a.m.? They say it's first-come, first-served, but is it really?"

While many fans took to social media sites such as Twitter to express hope that the country music icon would schedule a second show, Garth's publicist says unfortunately that isn't possible.

The Calgary Stampede will be held July 6 - 15. More artists will be announced here on May 24. Garth's next appearance at the Encore Theater in the Wynn Las Vegas Casino will happen this Friday and Saturday (April 20 and 21). See all concert dates and ticket information here.
