Scotty McCreery Pranks Brad Paisley

Fans in Springfield, Mo. got a double dose of Brad Paisley this weekend ... sort of. As part of the country superstar's Virtual Reality tour, he's joined each night for his tune, 'Celebrity,' by opener Scotty McCreery. However, this Saturday (Feb. 25), the reigning 'American Idol' decided to switch things up a bit and come out in his best Brad costume.

"So some young smart@$& who looked a little like me & a lot like @ScottyMcCreery showed up tonight," Brad tweeted in response, posting a picture (left) of the fake Paisley.

"Well #shotsfired tonight ... too bad I only got a pistol n @BradPaisley prolly has a bazooka somewhere, hahah," Scotty tweeted about the prank.

Although, if the 'Camoflauge' singer hopes to retaliate, he doesn't have much time. Scotty only has three more dates on the Virtual Reality tour: Baltimore, Md. (March 1); Knoxville, Tenn. (March 2); and Lexington, Ky. (March 3).

However, that may not be enough to dissuade the notorious prankster. He was pretty ruthless with funnyman Blake Shelton early in their careers.

"I had one of those stick-up air fresheners, and we stuck it under the table in the front lounge [of Blake's bus]," Brad told The Boot. "We replaced the contents with raw chicken. It was not old chicken at that point. It had no odor whatsoever. By Sunday, [laughs] they had found it, because they had to -- the bus smelled like someone had died! They said they kept looking under that table, and all they saw was a stick-up air freshener and couldn't understand what was making that smell, because there's even an air freshener there. Finally, somebody [discovered it]."
