Dolly Parton has a present for the city of Nashville: the first water and snow amusement park in the country. Teaming up with Gaylord Entertainment Co., the country superstar and 'Joyful Noise' actress has high hopes for the place.

"This is going to be so special," said Dolly at Thursday's big announcement of the new $50 million park (quote via Nashville's Tennessean). "It's a gift for everybody."

In the summer, the hot-spot-to-be will function as a water park, and in the colder months of the year, snow will be manufactured. The park will be open by summer of 2014, just across the street from Gaylord's Opryland hotel and the former site of the Opryland USA theme park, which closed in 1997. The new park's developers are hoping to boost Nashville's tourism industry and the economy by employing up to 450 people and drawing 500,000 visitors in the first year.

Dolly is, of course, the owner of Tennessee's No. 1 tourist attraction, Dollywood, a theme park in Pigeon Forge. Her Dollywood company will work with Gaylord to build the yet-to-be-named Nashville venue.

The tireless Dolly is certainly on a roll! 'Joyful Noise,' which features the icon alongside fellow superstar Queen Latifah, is complimented by three original Dolly songs -- including a duet with on-screen husband Kris Kristofferson. The movie opened in theaters on Jan. 13, and its soundtrack debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard soundtracks chart this week.
