Joe Don Rooney, Gary LeVox and Jay DeMarcus are 'Changed' men. That's the title of Rascal Flatts' new album, set to be released April 3. 'Changed' is the superstar trio's seventh studio CD and second for Big Machine Records, their new label home following the closing of Disney's Lyric Street Records. All six of the group's discs have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country albums chart, with total sales of more than 21 million albums.

The guys hint that 'Changed' will show a bit of a different side of Rascal Flatts, as they tried new things in the studio with famed producer Dann Huff. "It's really exciting for us to get in there and the three of us work on our music together without any outside influence," bassist Jay DeMarcus tells GAC. "We love working with Dann Huff. He's going to do the rest of the record and he's brilliant, but it was a really great creative outlet for us to get in there and sort of experiment ourselves and make some of the music ourselves so we're really, really excited about that."

The first single from 'Changed' is the toe-tapping 'Banjo.' Listen to the song here. Jay describes it as "a sentiment about getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, breaking out and finding a spot way out in the country and drivin' and drivin' and drivin' until you go so far you start to hear a banjo."

The Flatts are currently on their Thaw Out 2012 tour, with Sara Evans and Hunter Hayes as opening acts. See a full list of cities and dates on the trek here.
