Billy Dean is hoping to move forward after a hard hit this holiday season. A fire on Dean Acres, his farm in Smithville, Tenn., destroyed the singer's 1,500-square-foot barn, and along with it his boat, tractor and precious mementos from his career. No one was injured in the blaze, which took place while Billy was on tour with Kenny Rogers.

"I lost a lot things that were very meaningful to me, but no one was hurt and that's really all that matters at the end of the day," Billy says. Along with his fishing boat and tractor, Billy lost numerous demos and master recordings from early in his career. Vintage posters and personal photos from his younger days were also destroyed in the blaze.

"We'll rebuild, but I'm really going to miss that tractor and fishing boat this spring," Billy admits.

Billy isn't letting the setback change plans for public events scheduled at his home this year. More about those events is expected to announced in coming weeks.
