Scotty McCreery Celebrates Christmas in Disney!

Scotty McCreery is having a whirlwind 2011. In May, the 18-year-old became the reigning champ of 'American Idol,' which brought with it a recording contract on Mercury Nashville, a cash prize and a brand-new Ford truck. In June, his first single, 'I Love You This Big,' premiered at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot Country chart -- the highest-charting debut for a new artist in 20 years. In October, he saw his debut album, 'Clear as Day,' soar to No. 1 and also performed the national anthem at the World Series. In November, he sang at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, and this month saw 'Clear as Day' certified gold (indicating sales of more than 500,000). Now, the North Carolina native will have one more reason to celebrate before winding down his crazy year, thanks to an invitation to perform on the televised Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.

The high school senior headed to Orlando, Fla. earlier this month to tape the segment, which will air on Dec. 25. He joined fellow 'Idol' alum Jennifer Hudson, plus Cee Lo Green, Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, and co-hosts Mario Lopez, Nick Cannon and Maria Menounos in filming the special.

This is not the former grocery store clerk's first time at the famed resort this year. He previously traveled to Disney World in May to participate in a celebratory parade following his 'Idol' victory.

It looks like 2012 could be just as big of a year for Scotty, as he'll hit the road with one of his heroes, Brad Paisley, on the 'Old Alabama' singer's Camobunga tour. "It's just going to be incredible," the teen singing sensation shares with Billboard magazine. "I've grown up listening to Brad, loving his music. I can probably sing every single one of the words to his songs. It's gonna be fun, and a learning experience for me. It's gonna be a great time."
