'American Idol' alum Lauren Alaina will return to the small screen on Thanksgiving Day, with a televised performance of the national anthem before the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers game.

The 16-year-old singer will be joined by PLAY 60 youth ambassadors from United Way's NFL Youth Education Town - Boys & Girls Club at the Dick & Sandy Dauch Campus. The Detriot-based organization was designed to combat childhood obesity, taking a committed stance for health and wellness for the next generation. The NFL organization and participating teams have built more than 100 NFL Youth Fitness Zones, donating $250 million to the campaign.

Lauren is currently on the singles charts with 'Georgia Peaches,' the Georgia native's second radio offering from her debut album, 'Wildflower.' The album debuted at No. 2 on the country chart and No. 5 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart, the highest debut for a female country artist in 6 years.
