Larry, Steve and Rudy Gatlin, collectively known as Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers were honored with the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award during Monday night's (Sept. 19) ACM Honors ceremony at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The country legends joined Garth Brooks as recipients of the award, which acknowledges trailblazing acts in country music.

"I can't tell you how much love we felt, on and offstage, at tonight's ceremony," says Larry. "We are honored, humbled and filled with joy to have been chosen for such an amazing award. A big Texas 'thank you' from the Gatlin boys to the Academy of Country Music."

Randy Houser and Thompson Square paid tribute to the trio with a performance of their 1983 classic, 'Houston (Means I'm One Day Closer to You),' before the brothers took to the stage with a special performance of their No. 1 single, 'All the Gold in California,' which they dedicated to music-industry veteran John Dorris. The Isaacs also performed a medley of Gatlin hits, including 'Broken Lady,' 'I Don't Wanna Cry' and 'I've Done Enough Dyin' Today,' all penned by Larry.

Collectively, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers have earned 36 Top 40 singles, including their No. 1 hit, 'I Just Wish You Were Someone I Love.' The siblings earned a Grammy in 1976 for their breakthrough single, 'Broken Lady,' and three ACM trophies in 1979, including Album of the Year, Single of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year (Larry Gatlin).
