First time's a charm for the trio known as Pistol Annies. The group, comprised of Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe top the Billboard Country Albums chart this week with their debut disc, 'Hell on Heels.' According to Nielsen Soundscan, the album sold 42,000 copies in its first week, relegating Luke Bryan's 'Tailgates & Tanlines' to the No. 2 spot.

'Hell on Heels,' which bows at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, marks Miranda's fourth consecutive trip to the top of the country album charts, as her three solo discs have all reached No. 1. Her fourth solo album, 'Four the Record' is set for a November 1 release.

Elsewhere on the album chart, Sunny Sweeney also has her first significant album-chart action, debuting at No. 7 with 'Concrete.' Previously, her self-titled EP reached No. 41.

With the Pistol Annies gals insisting that fan reaction will dictate the group's future, it seems the fans have spoken. The album's debut single, the title track, takes a sizable leap on the Country Digital Tracks survey, jumping from 22 to 6 this week.

As their name recognition increases, Pistol Annies (who revealed that a stripper already the original name they had wanted to call themselves), the trio will be part of Miranda's fall tour, which kicks off next week.

"It's a great way to build our fan base," Miranda tells The Boot. "I've already got fans coming, I've already got radio stations coming, I've already got the production paid for, I've already got the buses. We don't want to get in a van necessarily, so we're just sort of hooking them onto my tour, which is perfect."

Miranda's latest solo single, 'Baggage Claim' also continues to climb the charts.
