The King of Country Music isn't handing over his crown anytime soon. George Strait has announced he'll release his 39th studio album, 'Here for a Good Time,' on September 6, with a tour supporting the album stretching into 2012. The 59-year-old country icon co-wrote more songs on the upcoming project than on any album in his catalog. He claims songwriting credits on seven of the project's 11 tracks, alongside his son Bubba and famed songwriter Dean Dillon. The same trio wrote George's 2009 hit, 'Living for the Night.'

The King also shares producing credit on the album, with legendary music mogul Tony Brown. The longtime friends returned to Jimmy Buffett's Shrimpboat Sound Studio in Key West, Fla. -- the same studio where George's last three albums were recorded -- to lay down the 'Here for a Good Time' tracks.

George's official website, GeorgeStrait.com, is already offering a pre-order package that includes the album, a T-shirt, poster and instant download of the title track, which is the CD's first single. 'Here for a Good Time' is the living legend's second highest debut on the singles charts, currently sitting at No. 16 after just eight weeks.
