It was country music's own royal wedding, and now more sweet details are being revealed about the May nuptials of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. The singing superstars tied the knot on a ranch in Texas, in a unique, intimate ceremony, surrounded by 560 of their friends and family, including Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley and Kellie Pickler. The lovestruck couple, who spent an entire year planning for their big day, filled it with laughter, tears and plenty of memories.

Kicking off the weekend-long celebration, the bride and groom spent the day before their wedding on the water. "We spent the whole day tubing on the river, drinking beer, whooping and hollering," Miranda's mom, Bev Lambert, tells People magazine. "It was amazing."

The lovebirds chose a local inn to spend their last night together as single people, before rising early the next day to begin getting ready. Miranda and her eight attendants joined together in praying over her before the ceremony began. "That was very emotional for her -– she had some pretty tearful moments," Bev recalls.

The blond beauty, who walked down the aisle in the same gown her mother got married in 33 years ago, was captivating. "When I saw here fully dressed in my wedding dress, I completely lost my mind, and her dad did too," the proud mom acknowledges. "It was breathtaking."

For all the anxiety and preparations leading up to the big day, the bride was calm as she strolled towards her groom. "She completely took her time and made eye contact with people in the rows," her mother notes. "She enjoyed her moment."

Clearly, the groom was smitten as well. "Blake was staring so hard at Miranda when he was saying his vows," Bev recalls. "He said it like he meant it. He wasn't stumbling around or being funny. And Miranda really cried."

The ceremony, which included three of the couple's dogs, concluded with a special moment between her daughter and new son-in-law. He "picked her up and just held her; they made a spectacle of themselves during the kiss!"

The brief service may have been filled with tears and emotion, but the reception was, according to wedding guest Joe Nichols, filled with alcohol and meat. "I've never seen so much ribbon, venison and bourbon in the same room," he jokes.

The evening reception, which included a special set by Neal McCoy, was a party that lasted for hours. "You're going to have to excuse my Texas slang, but people danced their a--es off!" Bev exclaims. "Nobody was leaving early. It was an electric and loving and warm place that you just didn't want to leave. What I took away from it is how much love my daughter and Blake enjoy from people who they have sewn into their lives. And I've never seen them more in love than they were that night."

The new Mr. and Mrs. Shelton spent several days after their wedding relaxing and fishing at home in Oklahoma, before they returned to their busy superstar schedules. Blake kicks off his role as opening act on Brad Paisley's H20 II: Wetter & Wilder tour tonight (June 3) in Virginia Beach, Va., while Miranda will spend much of the summer on the road, while she finishes up working on her new album.
