Sara Evans' first all-new album in five years, 'Stronger,' becomes her second consecutive No. 1 disc on the Billboard country album chart with first-week sales topping 55,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan data. The collection also becomes her second to reach the Top 10 on the multi-genre Billboard 200, bowing at No. 6. The singer's 2006 album, 'Real Fine Place,' topped the country chart and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Sara recently told The Boot that she named the new album 'Stronger' to show how much she'd grown in the six years since her last record -- a period of time during which she weathered an ugly divorce, but also wrote novels, toured, remarried, moved from Nashville to Birmingham, Ala., and created a new home with her husband, Jay Barker, and their blended family of seven children.

"You try really hard not to forget who you are. The main thing I say is don't become destructive," says Sara. "You have to embrace the fact that none of us will go through this life without experiencing disappointment, devastation, pain and heartache. We will all experience that sooner or later. That shouldn't change who we are."

Jason's Aldean's platinum (million-selling) 'My Kinda Party' hangs at No. 2 for the week, with Lady Antebellum's triple-platinum 'Need You Now' remaining at No. 3. Aaron Lewis, the Staind frontman who made his country debut with the No. 1 disc, 'Town Line,' last week, is No. 4 this week, with Rascal Flatts' 'Nothing Like This,' rounding out the top five.

Also debuting this week, at No. 8, Kenny Rogers' inspirational album, 'Love of God,' on sale at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. The album debuts at No. 2 on the Christian albums chart and No. 31 on the Billboard 200.
