Rascal Flatts were in Nashville on Thursday (March 3) to celebrate the chart-topping success of their hit, 'Why Wait.' Standing in front of a room packed with industry leaders, radio executives and family, the band accepted plaques for their No. 1 status, and visited with the party's attendees.

"When we heard the tune, we immediately fell in love with it," The Flatts' Jay DeMarcus tells The Boot. "It was a no-brainer. It harkened back to the earlier tunes that we cut on the first few records. It kind of had that feel of early Rascal Flatts, and I think it was very nostalgic for us. And we had never done a shuffle before, believe it or not, so it was something different for us, but yet familiar ... once Gary got his vocal on it, it just put it over the top. I think the fans felt what we were feeling when we cut it, that it was very reminiscent of what brought a lot them to the dance to start with."

Lead singer Gary LeVox says adding to the success of the song was the accompanying video, which was a parody of the film, 'The Hangover.' "[The video] actually brought a fun song to life with David Arquette in there and Ron White," he says. "That took on a whole other [life] of it's own. When we do it live, we have some of that video footage rolling behind us."

Following the party, the guys were presented with a custom tricked-out red Camaro from West Coast Customs. The car is symbolic for the band as they have a song named 'Red Camaro' on their album, 'Nothing Like This.' The question now is "Who gets custody of the new vehicle?"

The trio will perform their latest hit, 'I Won't Let Go,' when they appear on ABC's 'Good Morning America' on Thursday (March 10), prior to the premiere of their ABC-TV concert special, 'Nothing Like This' Presented by JC Penney' on Saturday, March 12.
