Brad Paisley, ‘This Is Country Music’ Cover Art and Release Date Revealed

Brad Paisley has a release date for his new album, 'This is Country Music.' The disc, titled after his current Top 5 single, is scheduled to arrive in stores May 24. Its cover art, featuring Brad in his signature white cowboy hat, is pictured left.

The singer-songwriter once again teamed with longtime producer Frank Rogers for the upcoming album, which was originally scheduled for release April 19. It's his first all-new studio album since 2009's 'American Saturday Night,' which was followed in fall of 2010 by the 'Hits Alive' double-disc -- featuring his previous No. 1 single, 'Anything Like Mine.'

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year debuted the title track during the CMA Awards last November, and it garnered so much attention, it was mixed and released as a single. Fans can now download the digital single for 'This Is Country Music,' and if they pre-order the album at ThisIsCountryMusic.com, they will also receive an immediate download of the single.

Brad has a huge hit on his hands with the new song. Keeping true to its title, 'This Is Country Music' is a track that Brad says he recorded for his industry, celebrating what country music is about ... and what makes it special to so many people.

"Chris DuBois and I set out to write something that is a tribute to this music that I love, that my fans love, that country radio takes and presents to people daily," Brad says. "I'm proud of so many things about country music, and there's so many aspects of country music that make it what it is, that make it this thing that becomes so personal and so important to so many people. Things like the fact that it deals, head on, with stuff like disease or death or divorce, heartache or love, and the same with partying on a weekend or something as dark as the loss of a loved one who served in the military. We are the format that people turn to. We are the type of music that people rely on to tell their stories, and I'm proud of the fact that we aren't afraid to do that."
