Setting the stage for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards telecast, the 'Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! Countdown to Music's Biggest Night' is set to air live on CBS, on December 1. The one-hour special, beginning at 10:00 PM (ET/PT), will announce nominations in several categories as well as feature performances by past Grammy winners and/or nominees. No word yet on who will perform or announce the nominees during the special.

In early 2010, Taylor Swift took home four Grammys including Album of the Year for 'Fearless.' Other winners in country music that night included Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band, who took the trophy in the multi-genre Best New Artist category. They became the first country act to win the award since 2006, when Carrie Underwood picked up the honor. Carrie, coincidentally, also won a 2010 Grammy for 'I Told You So,' her duet with Randy Travis.

With several high-profile country albums slated to be released in the weeks and months to come, including the highly-anticipated 'Speak Now' from Taylor, the competition is certainly heating up. The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be telecast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, beginning at 8:00 PM (ET/PT) on CBS.
