Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney had so much fun on the first leg of their 'Nothing Like This' tour that they are extending it into 2011. The tour will kick off, again, January 14 in Sioux Falls, S.D., and cross the country to perform 21 more shows, before wrapping up in Oklahoma City, Okla. March 12.

The group's new album of the same name hits stores next week, November 16. Considering that their last five albums have all reached No.1, and enjoyed platinum success, it would be easy for the Flatts guys to sit back and continue using the formula that has worked for them in the past, but that's not how they operate.

"We cut some things that we wouldn't have cut in the past, and we're really excited about doing something a little bit different this time," Jay tells The Boot. "We've been with [producer] Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Steel Magnolia) now for four records, and he really pulls something new out of us every time we get in the studio. This time, we went out to Santa Barbara, Calif. for about a week and tracked and did a little recording out there, just to mix it up a little bit. We just focused on the task at hand, and we got to collaborate with each other and talk about the direction of this record and really focus on it a lot more than we had in the past years."

The second leg of the 'Nothing Like This' tour will include both Luke Bryan and Chris Young as opening acts. See tour dates below.
