The initial list of performers has been announced for this year's CMA Awards. They include Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum and Dierks Bentley, as well as a special performance by the Zac Brown Band with Alan Jackson.

Miranda leads the list of nominations with nine, the most for any female artist in CMA history. One of those nods is for Entertainer of the Year, a category in which she's competing against her friends and artists she has opened for on the road, which she finds comforting. "A lot of these people that I'm in these categories with are my friends that I've made on the road and that I've toured with and that I've spent time with and written songs with," says Miranda, "and it's really cool that we're going up against each other, but we're so close. If you're nominated, it's awesome, but if you lose, than you're losing to your buddy."

Miranda is also nominated for Female Vocalist, Album for 'Revolution,' two for Single, 'The House That Built Me' and 'White Liar,' Song for 'White Liar,' Musical Event for 'Bad Angel,' with Dierks Bentley and Jamey Johnson and two for Music Video of the Year for 'The House That Built Me' and 'White Liar.

Miranda's fiance, Blake Shelton, received four nominations including Male Vocalist and Single, Musical Event and Music Video of the Year for 'Hillbilly Bone,' which features Trace Adkins.

Lady Antebellum have five CMA nominations, including Entertainer, Album for 'Need You Now,' Vocal Group, Single for 'Need You Now,' and Music Video of the Year for 'Need You Now,' The members of Lady A -- Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott -- each received individual nominations for Song of the Year for 'Need You Now,' which they penned with songwriter Josh Kear.

Dierks Bentley has three nominations, including Male Vocalist, Album of the Year for 'Up on the Ridge' and Musical Event of the Year for 'Bad Angel.'

The Zac Brown Band are up for four including Entertainer, Vocal Group, Musical Event for 'Can't You See' with Kid Rock and New Artist of the Year. Bandmates Zac Brown and John Driskell Hopkins can also pick up individual award for Song of the Year for 'Toes,' which they wrote with Wyatt Durrette and Shawn Mullins.

Kenny Chesney is up for Musical Event of the Year with pal Dave Matthews for their collaboration on 'I'm Alive,' while Alan Jackson is also nominated in the same category for his duet with Lee Ann Womack on 'Till the End.'
