Kristy Lee Cook Joins Broken Bow Records

Kristy Lee Cook, who was the seventh finalist on the seventh season of 'American Idol,' has just inked a recording and publishing deal with Nashville's Broken Bow Records.

Kristy Lee posted on her Twitter page in August that it was all but a done deal, now Broken Bow has made it official. "Kristy Lee Cook has a natural talent and beauty that is very captivating," says Broken Bow Records' CEO Benny Brown. "She has so much going on, and is so passionate about her music. We are thrilled to sign her to our Broken Bow roster."

Kristy Lee, who released her debut album, 'Devoted,' in 2005 (on Red-Hen Records), signed to Arista Nashville and 19 Recordings in 2008, releasing her post-'Idol' album 'Why Wait,' which produced her first chart single '15 Minutes of Shame,' a Top 30 hit on the Billboard country charts.

Broken Bow's roster includes country music sensation Jason Aldean, and he has certainly caught his new label-mate's attention. "Jason Aldean is my favorite country artist," says Kristy Lee. "To be on the same label as Jason is truly a dream come true! I feel like everything has fallen into place, and I am now going to get a real shot at my music career. I am so thankful and excited about my future."

The singer and big-game hunter is the host of her own reality show, 'Goin' Country,' on the Versus cable TV network.
