Last month, Hank Williams Jr. (pictured above, third from the left), wrapped the final show of his Rowdy Friends tour with Josh Thompson, Colt Ford and Jamey Johnson.

Up until that last night in Raleigh, N.C., Josh had never had the opportunity to even shake Hank Jr.'s hand, but that changed prior to Bocephus taking the stage, as Josh and his tour mates were able to thank Hank face-to-face for the opportunity of sharing a stage with the iconic entertainer for a total of eight shows.

"The tour was just awesome," Josh tells The Boot. "It was really laid back, plus I know Colt, Jamey and their crews really well, so that made it extra fun. It was good to be out and able to see Hank's show every single night. That's awesome, I'm not going to lie! It was great because I love Hank. I grew up listening to Hank Jr.'s music, and I'm pretty sure when I had my first beer, it was to Hank Jr. It was awesome to finally shake his hand and get my guitar signed!"

Josh is rounding out the rest of the year playing his own shows, after spending 2010 on the road with the likes of Eric Church on the Jagermeister tour and on Brad Paisley's H2O tour. Josh's latest single from his 'Way Out Here' album is 'Won't Be Lonely Long,' which he co-wrote with Arlis Albritton and fellow singer-songwriter, George Ducas.
