Blake Shelton Is ‘All About’ the Six Pak
More details surrounding Blake Shelton's upcoming 'six pak' album have been released. The six-song collection will be named after the Oklahoma native's fastest rising single to date, 'All About Tonight,' with the other five tunes including a special collaboration with Blake's fiancé, Miranda Lambert. The 'All About Tonight' six pak, which was produced by Scott Hendricks (Trace Adkins, Brooks & Dunn), arrives in stores August 10.
Blake released the first six pak album, 'Hillbilly Bone,' in March, and it debuted at No. 2 on the country album chart and No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200. He felt the project did everything he and his record label wanted it to do, but he still has one regret, which will be rectified this time around. "If I could go back to that first six pak, the only thing I would've done differently is I would've released a second single off of it," he says. "So, when I say 'All About Tonight' is the first single off the second six pak, there's going to be a second single this time. We've cut a bunch [of songs]. And that's what I love about doing six paks is how often you get in there and record and how you're constantly being sent brand new music from the best writers in Nashville."
The other songs on the album are 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking,' 'That Thing We Do,' 'Got a Little Country,' 'Draggin' the River' (a duet with Miranda) and 'Suffocating,' which was co-written by his soon-to-be-wife and Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott.
