Little Big TownLittle Big Town, having just wrapped up the Country Throwdown tour, are gearing up to hit the road next month with Sugarland on the duo's Incredible Machine tour. This marks the second time that Little Big Town have joined Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush out on the road.

"We were with Sugarland and Jake Owen two and a half years ago," Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman tells The Boot. "That's when we did [the collaboration on] 'Life in a Northern Town' together, which became a huge hit all in its own without any promotion at all. It's going to be great being back out with them again."

Kimberly says she would not be surprised if she and her bandmates join musical forces with Sugarland once again while on the road. "We've heard [talk] of some ideas of doing another collaboration together. Hopefully there will be some of that going on. That would be fun for the fans to look forward to, and that's always fun for us as well."

Last month, Little Big Town teamed up with another country star on the Country Throwdown tour. "Jamey [Johnson] asked us to start [singing on] his new single, 'Macon,' with him," Kimberly notes. "Then we ended up singing that on the CMT Music Awards with him."

Kimberly says she was sad to see the first Country Throwdown tour come to an end, but has high hopes it will return year after year. "It was such a great tour," she says. "There was so much music! It will hopefully be an annual tour. It's kind of like a traveling CMA Music Fest. It starts earlier in the day with the songwriter's stage. They had some incredible songwriters from Nashville who play songs that you've heard on the radio and new songs that they've written. Then as the day goes on there's more and more music. It was an amazing experience!"

Little Big Town's current single, 'Little White Church,' is in the Top 15 on the country chart. It's the first single from the highly-anticipated fourth album, 'The Reason Why,' which hits stores August 24.
