Blake SheltonBlake Shelton will host the first annual NRACountry sporting clay shoot charity event, sponsored by the National Rifle Association, in conjunction with the CMA Music Festival. The event, which takes place June 10 at the Tennessee Clay Target Complex in Nashville, will benefit Middle Tennessee flood relief efforts through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

"I am honored that I get to be part of NRACountry's inaugural clay shoot, and that the National Rifle Association has pledged all proceeds from the event to aid Middle Tennessee flood relief efforts," says Blake. "This is what is great about CMA Music Festival. We get to do something we love to do, with our fans, and help raise awareness for a worthy cause while having a great time."

Celebrity captains will lead teams of four shooting participants in the team competition event. Celebrities confirmed to attend the event include Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, John Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Justin Moore, Josh Thompson, Chuck Wicks and a few additional surprise guests.

Team sponsorships, which start at $2,000, cover the cost of competition, lunch and an awards reception. The annual sporting clay shoot is a private event and will not be open to the public.

"NRACountry is a collaborative effort between the National Rifle Association and our friends in country music," according to a press release issued by the group. "This natural partnership celebrates shared values: patriotism, freedom, and pride in America. We celebrate these values with concerts and other events that benefit gun safety programs for kids, youth hunting and education programs, efforts to support our armed services, and other worthy causes."
