The pop-country superstar joined fellow winners Suzanne Vega and Ann Johns Ruckert as honorees this year. Past recipients include Herbie Hancock, Lena Horne, Quincy Jones, the Oak Ridge Boys, Phil Ramone and many others.

The Grammy winner was also recently the guest of honor at a special TV taping celebrating his career which began more than 50 years ago. Stars appearing on 'Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years' included Darius Rucker, Dolly Parton, Sheena Easton, Smokey Robinson and Tim McGraw.

Kenny is back in the studio working on a new album, which will reportedly include a duet with Wynonna Judd.
