Mindy McCready is out of the hospital today ... and is now in a war of words. The troubled singer was admitted to Florida's Cape Coral hospital yesterday after her mother, Gayle, called 911, speculating that her daughter had overdosed on prescription drugs. Not so, say Mindy's reps, who insist she simply had a bad reaction to the painkiller Darvocet, which she is legally taking due to a broken toe. The singer's attorney is now reviewing the medical records.

TMZ is reporting that Dr. Drew Pinsky, the 'Celebrity Rehab' host whom Mindy credits with saving her life, has told them there was "no evidence of any relapse," adding that Darvocet was an appropriate medication for her pain.

Mindy is locked in a bitter custody battle with her mother over Mindy's four-year old son, Zander. Brent Young, who claims to be speaking on Mindy's behalf (though her Nashville reps insist he is not employed by Mindy), has suggested Gayle made the 911 call to strengthen her fight for permanent custody of the little boy.

Zander is, of course, the main reason Mindy is fighting to stay sober. When she spoke to The Boot last month, the singer told us her "rock bottom" moment when she knew she needed help was when her son didn't recognize her.

"The most pivotal moment in my life was when I had been in jail for about two months and my son [Zander] came to visit me. He was 17 months old, and the day I left to go to jail was the first day I had slept without him, in his whole life," Mindy told The Boot. "And I was devastated, because he didn't recognize me. I was like, 'What have I done? I have got to change. I've got to be a better person. I've got to be a better mother.' And that's when I really started to make a conscious effort to do everything differently."

Mindy was in great spirits when we spoke to her, excited about her new 'I'm Still Here' album, a reality show in the works and a new boyfriend. Read our full conversation here.
