Miranda LambertTo have seen Miranda Lambert on a red carpet or on stage in the past, one would have thought she looked beautiful and completely at-ease with the outfits she donned for the occasion. However, more often than not, the brazen blonde was pretty uncomfortable with the various choices her previous fashion stylists had picked out for her to wear. She even would go so far as to dress herself for the many glamorous events she has had to attend ... until now.

"I did the ACMs last year myself," Miranda tells The Boot. "My manager used to be a stylist in her day, and she was awesome, so together we kind of figure it out. But it's so much added stress ... I've used stylists before and sample size dresses are tiny. They are from the runway. They are like a [size] two. And I don't wear a two, not even close! So I've found in the past that I've had different stylists, and they'll bring tons of clothes and one dress will fit and I really won't like it, but I'll have to wear it on the red carpet anyway. And that's a bad feeling, to know that's the only one that zipped ... and it's really, really expensive. If I pay all this money for dresses that don't fit, I might as well just go buy one myself. And that's why I got discouraged and shied away from stylists for a while."

Miranda has now found someone who really understands her body, giving her one less thing to worry about as her career takes off into the stratosphere. "This girl just emailed us and she's from Texas, but has lived in New York for seven years and she's a fashion editor," explains the Texas native. "She said she loved my music and has for a long time and wants to help dress me ... Her name is Tiffany, and she brought the most amazing clothes and they were a size eight and that's what size I wear. And I said, 'Thank you for bringing my size! This is amazing!'"

Miranda now arrives at an event with her head held high and feeling more self-assured. "It just felt good because everything she brought fit, and it makes you walk onto the carpet and stage feeling so much more confident when you don't feel like you are squeezing into something or something doesn't really look good, but it's the only thing," she says. "So I was thrilled. I felt like I looked great and I love that feeling, because when you have to be in the public you really want to feel good. And I have a great hair and makeup girl so from [the chin] up, I always feel great. But from my neck down, I'm always wishing, 'Please Lord, let it zip this time.' But I never change in size. I'm always an eight. And she brought eights, so it was awesome!"

The singer-songwriter will strut her stuff on stage in style when she takes her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour to Davenport, Iowa on Thursday (May 6).
