Joey + RoryJoey+Rory must have found a four-leaf clover recently. Not only has the husband/wife duo been named the ACM's Top New Vocal Duo, but Rory has bragging rights to the new No. 1 song in the country.

The couple will claim their ACM trophy during a taping of the Trace Adkins-hosted GAC special, 'ACM Top New Artists,' that will premiere on April 1.

"Wow, where do we begin?" says Rory. "It sure feels nice to know that so many people out there care enough about us and our music that they took the time to go online and vote for us!"

Adds Joey, "I grew up gathered around the TV with my family watching my favorite singers win ACM awards. I can't believe we've actually won one."

Rory's good news this week comes on the charts, as he penned the newly-crowned No. 1 song on the charts, 'A Little More Country Than That,' recorded by Easton Corbin.

"What a blessing to wake up in the midst of all this and find out a song that you and two of your buddies wrote is at the top of the charts!" says Rory. "'Little More Country's' a song that speaks about Joey and I, just as much as it does about Easton, and we've been proudly singing it every night in our shows."

When it comes to writing hit songs, Rory has had his share of experience and good fortune. His very first cut entitled 'Someone You Used to Know' became a No. 1 hit for Collin Raye. Others followed including the 'The Chain of Love' by Clay Walker and the multi-week No. 1 'Some Beach' by Blake Shelton. In 2009, Rory was awarded two of ASCAP's Most Played Songs for 'I Will' by Jimmy Wayne and 'You Can Let Go' by Crystal Shawanda.

Joey+Rory's upcoming album, simply titled 'Album #2,' will be released this summer.
