Darius Rucker is set to host what promises to be a star-studded concert in Nashville benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Darius and Friends event takes place at the Wildhorse Saloon on June 7, in advance of the 2010 CMA Music Festival. More information about Darius' "friends" joining him for the show will be announced in the weeks to come.

All proceeds from the event will benefit St. Jude and their mission to find cures and save children fighting deadly diseases. The idea for the concert came about after Darius visited the facility in 2009.

"This was a chance for my friends and I to do something during CMA Music Fest week that is for the fans, while drawing attention to St. Jude and their incredible efforts," says the singer. "It's going to be a great night of music and stories."

Tickets for the event go on sale this Saturday (March 13) and can be purchased at the Wildhorse Saloon's website or by calling 615-902-8200.
