Sarah BuxtonSarah Buxton was living proof that good things come to those who wait Tuesday night in Nashville, as she took the stage at her long-awaited album release bash at a downtown nightclub. The spunky young singer had plenty to celebrate – she had the biggest opening digital single sales for any female country artist on a debut album in the history of Nielsen SoundScan – which was great news for someone who waited patiently for over five years to see the release of her debut CD!

Sparkling as brightly as the engagement ring on her finger in a glistening sequined top, Sarah grinned from ear to ear at the house packed with fellow songwriters, family, friends, artists like Love and Theft's Stephen Barker Liles, Whitney Duncan, Jonathan Singleton and Trent Tomlinson, along with industry folks who turned out to celebrate the release of her self-titled debut, which hit stores earlier that day.

Launching into tunes like 'Radio Love,' Sarah and her band delivered a heaping helping of tunes from her CD, pausing at one point to acknowledge her mom, dad, and grandpa in the audience. "I wanted this party to be about radio and friends and everyone who's been with me all along the way," explained Sarah to the crowd, who sang many of the lyrics right back to her during songs like 'American Daughters' and 'Wings.'

Even a chipped tooth on the mic at one point couldn't dampen her enthusiasm or that of her band, which includes stellar guitar player/co-writer Jedd Hughes, whom Sarah thanked for giving her the inspiration to finish the whole album project. Jedd's searing guitar solos on songs like the newly-penned 'Endless Summer,' which the two recently co-wrote, punctuated many of the night's songs, and their musical chemistry is undeniable. "I wrote this song with three people who are as crazy as I am," Sarah explained, laughing joyfully at the success of her latest single, 'Outside My Window.'

As champagne and streamer poppers made their way around the room, the crowd joined in a toast with Sarah, who proclaimed, "Here's to 2010 and everything getting way better for everybody!" Her mom then took the stage in a poignant moment to give her daughter a bouquet of yellow roses before she launched into the mega-hit she co-wrote for Keith Urban, 'Stupid Boy,' followed by her kiss-off anthem 'Space,' and a rollicking 'Full Moon Friday,' then triumphantly left the stage to continue celebrating long into the night.
