Rascal Flatts are certainly living up to the title of their latest CD, 'Unstoppable.' Already one of country's most successful acts, the trio -- Gary LeVox, Jay Demarcus and Joe Don Rooney -- are proving their talents extend far beyond the concert stage.

Guest-starring in an upcoming episode of the hit TV series, 'CSI,' the guys report it was an undeniable experience. "It was awesome," Gary tells The Boot. "The title of it is 'Unschockable,' and we don't want to give too much away, but it was a great opportunity and fun to touch up on the acting skills that we don't have!"

Rascal Flatts' episode is rumored to involve a near-fatality. Jay jokes that he plays the victim, in a role that got a bit gory. "It's really not disgusting at all. My intestines, when they were hanging out of my gut, I was really quite comfortable with that," he deadpans. "We had a blast doing that. I don't want to give too much of the story away, but obviously from the commercial you can tell there's an attempt on my life, and it happens during one of our live shows, and the story continues from there. We don't know who's done it, but it could be one of these guys, it could be my manager."

"It's a serious criminal investigation because he's hurt very badly," Joe Don Rooney chimes in.

Still, fans can rest easy. "No dead Flatts," Jay insists. "We considered it but thought it would be too dark."

'CSI' has frequently invited musical acts to prove their acting chops on the show. Previous guests include country's own Taylor Swift, as well as Jesse McCartney, Diddy and Ludacris. The episode featuring Rascal Flatts will air on Thursday, March 4 on CBS.
