Taylor Swift, fresh off her four Grammy wins, is looking ahead to her next big event -- her debut as a movie star in the upcoming flick, 'Valentine's Day.' In spite of her busy schedule last year, including her sold-out 'Fearless' tour that kicked off in '09, she says when the opportunity presented itself, it was too good to pass up.

"I got a phone call from [film director] Garry Marshall," she explains on Trailer Addict, "saying, 'Taylor, I want to have lunch or breakfast with you. I really want you to be in this movie. Will you? Will you let me write a part for you?' And I could not believe it. I couldn't believe that, because I didn't have the time to be a big role in this movie, Garry was going to write in a small role for me in this movie. It blew my mind."

Playing Samantha, the love interest to Taylor Lautner (whom she was rumored to have dated off-screen as well), Taylor dishes a little bit on filming her part.

"It's a really fun scene," she reveals. "We're walking in school and it's interesting because we shot this scene in an active high school. Active. As in school was in session while we're filming. Every 30 minutes there would be a bell that would ring and hundreds of students were pouring out, exactly where we were, and there were lots of people screaming out of windows, and groups of kids gathering together chanting things. It was definitely an interesting and very exciting day. "

Taylor is used to singing in front of millions of screaming fans, but performing in front of a camera was an entirely different experience. "For me to step out of my comfort zone and try comedy, and have one of the coolest director's and a legendary director laughing that hard at my first scene, it was really wonderful."

Being cast in the movie, she says, gave her plenty of ideas for future ways to celebrate the big day. "Everybody has their own built-up ideas as to what Valentine's Day means. And I think the simple fact is, you're never going to have the same kind of Valentine's Day twice. There are a million different ways to experience Valentine's Day, and there are a lot of ways that you see Valentine's Day celebrated in this movie."

Taylor joins an all-star cast for the movie, including Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Patrick Dempsey and many more. She also contributed two songs for the soundtrack, along with Jewel, Willie Nelson, Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone, among others. The film hits theaters February 12.
