Miranda Lambert is crossing the country with her On Fire tour, but she insists she will leave the real flames to her wood stove at home.

"The tour is called 'On Fire,' but I figured I'm pretty fiery without actual explosives -- and that's a lot of money in insurance -- so I decided I'll just be fiery on my own," she tells Long Island's Newsday (quote via the Country Vibe).

The wife of Blake Shelton is pouring her heart and soul into her tour, which includes Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann as opening acts. However, she says her first priority has nothing to do with music. "We don't want to be one of those couples that can count the number of days we spend together," admits the songbird. "That's why I'm taking some time off. We're still newlyweds, and we want to enjoy that and not live in the spotlight. I just want to live in my small town and be a regular person."

The Texas native will have to spend a lot of time on an airplane if she hopes to see her husband, who is juggling his role as mentor on the hit NBC show, 'The Voice' with his own Well Lit & Amplified tour. While their time together may be sporadic for the next few months, they are at least enjoying plenty of time together on the charts. The two co-wrote Miranda's latest single, 'Over You,' which is currently in the Top 25 and climbing.

Miranda will take her fiery tour to Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Ohio this week. See her complete tour schedule here.
