The first-round nominees for the annual People's Choice Awards have been revealed, with Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift both feeling the love from country and pop music fans.

Carrie and Taylor have received nods in the Favorite Country Artist category, and are also in the running for Favorite Female Artist, while Taylor gets a mention in the Favorite Pop Artist category as well. Carrie was the 2009 winner for Favorite Female Singer, besting Rihanna and Alicia Keys.

Rascal Flatts, also among the nominees for Favorite Country Artist, won the 2009 Favorite Group honor over Coldplay and Maroon 5. Tim McGraw, Toby Keith and Keith Urban are all nominated for Favorite Male Artist, while Toby and Keith have a shot at Favorite Country Artist as well.

Lady Antebellum is a double nominee, vying for Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Breakout Star, a category which also includes the Zac Brown Band -- along with others including Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and 'Britian's Got Talent' sensation Susan Boyle.

The People's Choice Awards recognize fan favorites in categories covering movie, TV and music. The 2010 show will mark the awards' 35th year. Voting in the first round is open until Dec. 8, with the final list of five nominees in each category to be announced early next year.
