Keith Urban Is ‘Defying Gravity’
Keith Urban has revealed the title of his upcoming album: 'Defying Gravity.' The Aussie superstar's sixth studio CD is due in stores March 31.
"'Defying Gravity' comes from the lyrics of a song on the album," Urban explains of the title choice. "It just struck me at the time as a phrase that really defined the joyous, optimistic and uplifting spirit that seemed to show itself while making the album."
The album will include Urban's 18th Top Ten single, 'Sweet Thing.' We can also likely expect a lot of personal songs on the new dad's new project.
"I've always approached making records as a journey where I just have to let myself go," says Urban. "If the conditions are just right, the music will reflect the mood and feeling of where I am in my life."
Urban will embark on his Escape Together World Tour this May, visiting 58 cities across North America. Opening acts include Sugarland, Dierks Bentley, Glen Campbell, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean and the Zac Brown Band. One of those acts will appear at each show.
