Crossover Craze

2008 was a great year to find your inner twang. Jessica Simpson proved her detractors wrong by topping the country album chart with 'Do You Know.' Jewel also successfully transitioned from pop with a No. 1 country debut. But the hottest of the crossovers was Hootie and the Blowfish lead singer Darius Rucker, who reached No. 1 on both the album and singles charts with his first foray into country. Alan Jackson was right, it seems everybody's "gone country!"
