Hank Williams, Jr. is in a Nashville recording studio this week, putting a new twist on an old favorite. He's re-recording 'All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight' for ESPN's 'Monday Night Football.' Williams has sung the show's opening theme every year since 1989. 'MNF' kicks off its 39th season September 8 with two games: the Minnesota Vikings versus Green Bay Packers, followed by the Denver Broncos versus Oakland Raiders.

When pro football airs on Sunday nights this season, it will be another country star singing the opening theme: Faith Hill. The country beauty will be part of an ongoing promotional campaign on NBC, singing 'Waiting All Day for Sunday Night' before each game and starring in various commercial spots for 'Sunday Night Football.' One humorous commercial shows NFL players in a kitchen, preparing game-time snacks for Hill and her girlfriends.

"The promo piece is one of the funniest things I have ever seen," Hill reports. "Fans will be in for a real treat getting a glimpse of these guys in the kitchen."

'Waiting All Day for Sunday Night' debuts September 7 on NBC, with the Indianapolis Colts hosting the Chicago Bears.
