Mindy McCready is trying to get her son back. The embattled country singer was in a Lee County, Fla. courtroom last week for a custody trial. Her 2-year-old son Zander has been cared for by McCready's mother, Gayle Inge, since the singer's arrest last July. McCready was jailed for parole violation after allegedly assaulting her mother. She was released in December.

A camera crew filming a documentary on McCready was also in the courtroom. McCready has said on her website that she is filming a reality show tentatively titled 'Mending Mindy.' It's unclear when or where the show will appear.

McCready, once known for her hits 'Guys Do It All the Time' and '10,000 Angels,' is now better known as the admitted mistress of married baseball star Roger Clemens. Their alleged decade-long affair began when she was a teenager. Clemens denies that the relationship was sexual, while McCready confirmed a New York Daily News story reporting that it was indeed romantic.

The judge in McCready's custody case made no ruling. Instead, the trial was continued to June 13. Read the full article, including details of the dramatic courtroom testimonies, here.
