Miranda Lambert Involved in Alleged Bar Brawl

Get ready for a case of she said--she said. A woman is accusing Miranda Lambert of assaulting her at a nightclub in Tyler, Texas. Lambert was at the Bootleggers club on Saturday to support her friend, Adam Hood, who was having a CD release party there. Police say the alleged brawl occurred after the woman asked the country star for a photograph.

"The victim called us yesterday and we took the report over the phone," County Sheriff Lieutenant Larry Winginton told the Tyler Morning Telegraph. "There were not any injuries that I know of. Basically, she said she wanted to get her picture with Miranda and that Miranda pushed or shoved her a couple of times. She said she wanted to file a case against Miranda for assault, but that's all we know at this time."

The alleged victim, Aisha Esbay, also spoke with the Tyler newspaper. She says she approached Lambert to ask for a picture for another friend, but that Lambert told her, "Maybe later." But later, Esbay says the exchange got heated.

"I walked back over there to tell Miranda that she shouldn't treat her fans like that and she jumped up and started cussing me saying I was in the VIP section and needed to go back with the other trailer trash," she told the newspaper.

Esbay then says Lambert shoved her two times.

"I caught myself on the stool and was just like OK, so I turned around and she shoved me two more times as she let the cuss words fly," she said. "I just couldn't believe it."

Lambert has not been charged, but police say that if evidence points to her guilt, she'd only face a Class C misdemeanor, which is the equivalent to a traffic citation. Lambert's publicist says she knows nothing of the alleged incident.
