What has your musical hero, Garth Brooks, taught you?

He's taught me a lot, and I need to start applying some of those things. [laughs] One thing that I have learned and have always applied is that you ain't on stage if it isn't for the people that are coming to see you. You don't make albums if it ain't for the people who are listening to it . . . I've always tried to go all out for the fans. For the first two and a half years, I was signing autographs after every show, no matter what. But in the past year, I got away from that . . . and there's really no excuses why. But this year, I'm right back out doing it again -- getting out there and signing autographs and talking to people. Because it's when they don't come up to you, that's when you start worrying. Then you've got a problem.
