11 Questions With Dolly Parton: No. 1

If you could change one thing about the country music industry, what would you change?

I would say, “Get Dolly Parton back on the radio! Get me back on mainstream! Stop this attitude that older people ain’t any good anymore!” We’re as good as we ever were, if we ever were any good. [laughs] But I can’t complain, because I’ve had 30 years of success and have won every award that there is to be had. But still, it’s as new to me as it was when I first started and just as important. So I wish they would treat some of the great artists with the respect that a lot of them deserve.
